I agree with @avclub-6ef36c8de89f58253dbbd5f338837bf1:disqus. I really liked the first season, thought the second was solid. The last two have been increasingly difficult to watch. The writing has declined, the guest turns by athletes are beyond awkward and the Taco character is a show-stopper without peer.

For the sake of accuracy, we did torture people. Contrary to the claims of the Bush Administration, that is true. Assuming the depiction in the film is as realistic as reviews claim – and there is no clear, direct line drawn from torture to Bin Laden's death, as Tobias claims – the Rorschach test is an apt analogy for

@avclub-e4bd2b639df676f2741e9e8159b9564a:disqus I haven't seen this movie (obviously), but the fundamental point of the review is that it is neither propaganda nor a fantasy.

@avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus Yes, exactly, "Free Pussy Riot" is exactly the sort of thing that the average person who's not glued to Twitter, etc, would consider a hip "current" cause, even though it comes across as stale to the kind of plugged-in audience that visit this site. And they'd be kind of

I thought this was the best episode of South Park in a long, long time. It may not be "golden era" but it certainly reminded me off what the show was capable of before it resorted to halfheartedly skewering some random pop culture bullshit every week. The Lance Armstrong reference was topical, but it was used a window

Bill Murray as Lyndon Johnson is kind of a stroke of genius.

What was that pointless CIA movie DeNiro directed with Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie? The Good Something? I own the DVD but in my mind it's just an empty void on my shelf.

@avclub-ad283026a2a2a5be72051a4cf93750eb:disqus I think South Park is frequently guilty of beating dead horses and being a little behind the times. (They got around to taking on Facebook in what, 2009?) In this case, though, I think it's part of the joke. The fact that everyone knows Blockbuster is a dead business
