Paul Dano's Face
…always looks photoshopped to me.
Cats be talkin' like meoooow and dogs be talkin' like rufffff amirite?
The trailer for this is the worst.
I saw the trailer before Inception and thought it was so over the top and calculated in its attempts to tug at heartstrings that I started laughing embarassingly loud in the middle of it.
@To Be Fair…
Yeah, it kind of shocks me when I see it sometimes, because I feel like the AV commenters are the closest analogue to my real-life peer group on the internet. But my real-life peer group knows better.
You're a credit to your gender.
@Whovian Oh hell to the yes guys have a "Friend Zone". If you have the strange fortune to attract introverted guys (growers, not showers, if you will), they will keep you in the "Friend Zone" until they get their shit together or until you make the first move.
Christopher Nolan called, he wants his shitty reality show back
"Jaclyn said in a testimonial that she was happy to work with Miles on the male/female project but worried because he had a tendency to implant his ideas in other people's heads. "
@Von Bondie etc
Guy_123- Beg to differ. I see where you're coming from- it's a cliche to say that comedy comes from a place of rejection and belittlement and hot women don't get rejected the way guys that look like, say, Louis CK do. But ugly ducklings who grew up swans can be funny as hell and it happens a lot. See: Tina Fey.
To me, most celebrities get a pass on ghostwriting but comedians pretty much have to do it themselves. If I'm reading a comedian's book, it's because I already like their writing style, usually when they're telling lightly fictionalized versions of their life. Why not just make a book?
You're special. Have a cookie.
I hereby award this post Most Hilarious Troll Bait Ever
Tony Robbins fanboys arguing on the AVC boards for the power of positivity? Us hipsters round these parts don't cotton to that shit.
I grew up on the outskirts of LA, where a lot of really low-level actors and directors lived. In my experience, working actors- the ones who take their paychecks and move on and never headline- are really nice, because their livelihood depends on the strength of their social network and their behavior on set.
Look Around You. Dear god please Look Around You.
I like this one.
Yes yes yes. I'm surprised Pendleton Ward hasn't gotten any love from the AV Club before now, but it's about damn time.
The Ira Glass cameo was just gravy.
She seems a little out of her element when she's interviewing comedians- I heard an interview with Tracy Morgan a while back and he completely steamrolled her. She lost control over the interview in the first 30 seconds.
