I know you're out there posting nknotz. Claim your damn prize!
Several guesses were also dangerously close.
(What is the best way for me to send you the code?)
The winner of Outlandish Debate Prediction Game #1 is @avclub-ff97ebc23d619e34b878a3061a18f914:disqus, who correctly guessed that Lester Holt would call Trump out on his lies.
Holt was, at times overmatched, but to his credit - and your benefit - he called out Trump numerous times on factual inaccuracies he was trying to push off onto the public as the truth.
I assume you're fucking like rabbits right now?
I honestly don't think he got in more than one good jab at her, and that might be generous. He really was not on his toes at all, especially for someone who tends to speak so extemporaneously.
Man, who would have guessed it was Trump's sniffing that would have been the physical ailment that plagued a candidate tonight? You had the right idea but took it in too logical a direction!
I'm tempted to give you a booby prize for a technically accurate prediction, even though we can't definitively prove that he had the urge during the debate.
When I read this this morning, I thought it was a shoo-in for the winner, but you know, he really didn't change course when it came up. He admitted some significant things - that he hasn't paid income taxes chiefest among them - but he really didn't try to sidestep or deflect much, aside from dragging the email issue…
You were very close. If you'd gone a little less outlandish, I'd probably give it to you, because Trump and Clinton agreed once - on restricting gun access to people on watch- and no-fly lists, but it wasn't Trump's point, it was Clinton's.
It felt for a moment like we were headed there, but I ultimately don't think it quite got this bad. But you were in the ballpark!
He must be saving that for debate number two.
I always forget Ellie May was the woman in Eye of the Beholder.
Post your bold predictions for the debate here.
The talking heads thing does change the stakes, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - consider that in Coven and Freak Show and Hotel and to some extent Murder House, there were no real rules. Anyone could and did die and it had a minimal effect on the proceedings.
Thank you, 10pm time slot!
In truth, I think it's a clever lampshading of the fact that she's lost her baby weight.
His reaction first to Nick being back, and then, to Jess still having feelings for Nick, was quintessential Winston. Perfect.
