Yeah he's pretty good. Google the streaming version of Pyramids for a better idea of what he's about. The album in question is nowhere near as good as that particular track but its still notably good.

Just wanted to chime in for a second and say that I thought the episode was not directed well at all. Dude could've visually pushed the tension in several scenes a lot further.

I don't disagree with your analysis, I think we just reacted very differently to Lila and Lumen.

The relative quality of a season of Dexter can be broken up into how good the three exterior (non-Dexter) elements are.

Agree with everybody about this review being totally off-base but I think I can guess why. It took me a good 10 listens or so to really appreciate how awesome this entire albumĀ isĀ (minus stupid frog song that has since been deleted from my iTunes) and not just think it was an album that had a few good songs on it.
