I mean there's obviously a lot about the US that's worthy of criticism, but knee-jerk anti-Americanism based solely on stereotypes is reactionary and dumb.

Is there anything to Von Trier's movies beyond facile and superficial criticism of the US? That's not a rhetorical question, by the way. But the impression I get from reading about him and his movies is that he's probably working on a script about how Americans are all really fat and gross.

Naziism is a form of fascism, and objectivism is a form of anarchy. That's a pretty big difference.

Btw, I don't mean to say that that's in accordance with Objectivism. I'm pretty sure that it's not. But somehow people who support extreme social darwinism and eugenics always think that they would come out on top, despite all evidence.
