Anything that gets the Mikaelsons out of Mystic Falls is a-okay with me. As Carrie said, those characters have changed the nature of the show, and I would be interested to see if an Originals-free TVD can recapture the elements that made me devour two and a half seasons in two weeks. I might watch The Originals, as

Why wouldn't Annie have run over to her computer as soon as she got free and write some sort of retraction??? Why try to deal with a fake bad guy using real means, when she'd created him in the first place? She could have wiped him from existence and possibly resurrected her editor at the same time.

I don't even watch this show anymore, and I would totally tune in for a revelation like this. I'm on board with any plan of action that ends in Ted's death!

My point (in my other guise) exactly. So Rebekah is just taking an exceptionally motionless nap, and will certainly return to wreak havoc in Mystic Falls again once somebody undaggers her.
