You're fine and you'll be great when you get back into dating on your own schedule.
@avclub-e19801f9caf39bff8afc5e4548f2942d:disqus Is it access to the nice stuff, or the experience of going out with someone taking care to do all those things?
Was the guy paying for all that stuff.
@avclub-011d0b4fe6835bb3d37ef4e0ea713de6:disqus Explain this one. I've heard it before. Why wait longer for a guy who would have relationship potential?
He's a fool.
@c_bot2:disqus "You just need to stand there and look pretty" is one of the dumbest and most insulting things that I repeatedly hear (not addressed to me - straight male - but to women I see), and I don't get how people don't see how suggesting to someone that they would be content to be useless except for their looks…
@avclub-b6ad9ed5179f5855fa5b91a7f2b1ee80:disqus No, the company admitted in court that it (unintentionally, it claimed) laundered money for cartels and countries with frozen assets! Then it (very likely) continued to do that! It paid a fine and hired compliance officers, but no criminal charges were pressed. That's…
@avclub-b6ad9ed5179f5855fa5b91a7f2b1ee80:disqus Also, I think at some point a politically-minded judge or investigator will say "maybe these billionaires with a national media presence aren't the best people to piss off with arbitrary seizures."
@avclub-b6ad9ed5179f5855fa5b91a7f2b1ee80:disqus It really does seem like you have a cartoon vision of how the government operates. Judge signs an order, and there's no appeal? Assets are frozen forever or seized without evidence? Give a non-terrorism example of this kind of thing happening.
Dating someone for the money seems sociopathic unless you're clear and open about it. I've never understood (deeply; I understand the logic chain) how people are comfortable with that. It just seems to undermine the meaning of personal interaction to a point that's depressing. I think at this point most people would…
Even the guys who have been unfortunate enough to shack up with that fellow.
Also, how much power of abstract thought does it take to realize that the person you're communicating with online is a person in real life?
Agreed! And I hope not. A good solid no is so fucking useful. I've gotten a few of those, and I've always appreciated it. In fact I made it a thing to always thank the lady for the helpful "no" and be on my way.
Having a person that crazy be obsessed with you must be terrifying. There's the irrational "crazy" of being rejected by someone you care about that most people have felt both sides of, but this is an entire other level of insanity.
It's always my expectation that I'll never get laid again.
I don't think it's as much a "learned" thing as it is an instinctive reaction to seeing a female with some signs of physical exertion and smelling her sweat. Really, you'd have to do some unlearning to not find that hot.
Sure is a fucking when those two actually put something together though.
I don't think that's people in character goofing around - they're goofing on the conception of what it means to present things on camera and to watch people. It's a much different kind of goof.
What do you talk to guys about?
I think you're overthinking it, and I know a good amount about that from experience.
