stop remaking all my precious Verhoeven films goddammit.

To answer your question, maybe the kind of people who like the mashing of high and low/pulp culture (which is increasingly more people). The kind of person who likes both the horror-movie kitsch and Hitchcock reverence in a film like "Body Double."

Is this out yet? I feel like I've been waiting forever for this.

There's a contingent out there who agree with you, myself included. I think many (former) Av Club film writers and film geeks with certain tastes love it and push for it to have a better reputation.

Or maybe Lothar just gave a better performance than Watts, who did do a fine job, too.

Something about the homelier visages of Lothar and Mühe made the original more affecting for me, for some reason. I guess movie-star faces make it less "realistic," perhaps? I dunno.

Actually I would like some soup, thanks pal.

The people who spend lots of time commenting on pop culture websites and brag about not knowing stuff that is constantly covered on the same sites are just outing themselves as either having poor memories or really terrible reading comprehension. yeah if the writer is misdirecting the audience towards something of merit. Instead it was a misdirection to a giant deus ex machina.

I fucking hate that song.

The only point I agree with here is the massive disappointment that was Season 2, but man do I agree with it strongly:

It's theater dorks (I have no idea if they are actually theater dorks) playing hat-and-vest dress-up and singing like their

This might be my least favorite band in existence right now. Her voice is nails on a chalkboard to my ears. Holy fuck do they make me cringe.

that's not true at all

I'm not a Pitchfork basher, they provide a pretty incredible service with the sheer number of albums they review, but lol at people whose entire favorites-of-the-year lists consist of nothing but BNM selections. So many comments on this website and Stereogum are just people listing the same 10 records in their

dooood Thee Oh Sees
also, Sonny and the Sunsets, The Men

I thought he was hilarious

Just realized I've always totally misinterpreted the lyrics to this song, and now I feel dumb and naive. I always took it as "you might not be with your first choice, but if the girl you're with loves/like you, appreciate it and go with it." What an idiot. /shame.
