wrong
it should have read

NOOOOOOOO
fuck, there could never be enough trucks falling through ice to justify the unending tedium that is that fucking show. it's cold! i get it! they drive trucks and it's cold! shit on the trucks breaks because guess what? it's fucking cold!

i experienced a little of the dissonance you speak of … but even if I didn't completely buy the afterword's oversimplification, I couldn't help but get all emotional, think about people I knew, and for a minute the brain stops over-intellectualizing everything and it's flooded by emotions. memory, nostalgia, etc.

hurrumph
I didn't think Pierce was saying you have had to do drugs to "get" the novel at all …. I'm also not to interested in how many cigarettes the staff hasn't smoked (I'm seeing a little over-defensiveness from the "straights" on staff) … but I will say that the author's word at the end was extremely moving and

they could have easily spent the entire CGI budget on the scramble suit and left the rest alone. and I like STZA's idea of more subtle and organic changes.

horsefellow, is that you?

im gonna make it so wordy for you
you're so kinky.

huh
"(Which is a bit head-scratching, seeing as how at this point in Ryan's career, that's pretty much a compliment.) "

SPOILERS:
Yeah, Barris def seems more evil in the book than in the movie, but it's been awhile since I've seen the film so I can't remember exactly what seens they included about Barris.

weird miss-marketing
have you guys seen the bizarre trailers for this? one makes it look like a light-hearted romance with Cruise at his "Jerry McGuire best"

Hey look! I agree with a guy named Poophat!

memories and stuff
I grew up with my dad playing John Prine in the house at all times, now I can't hear it without getting annoyingly nostalgic.

just finnished, "woah."
it's now maybe my second or third favorite PKD novel. Barris and RDJr will forever be linked in my head … the evil bastard. Probably some of the best casting ever, I only wish I hadn't seen the film before reading the book.

I swear, ya jack off just onnnnnne horse and no one ever lets you live it down

may yr obese children have soft bones, too
the McDonalds near work in my crappy city has had a "SOLD OUT" sign over the glass display for weeks … and since no one here can read, I'm guessing that they will all remain in use.

the dog is a different breed, I believe

I don't hate or love "Funny Games," but most everyone I know does fall into one of those camps. I had to write a paper on it in school, and I defended it. I'm in the "admire it, kinda like i,t too" camp.

you should only be allowed to yell "NEEERRRRRRDS," Ogre, and this would have been a fine moment for it.

Obligatory Postman comment: those channels never had any merit, and was always entertainment masquerading as education.
