Surprised to see all the "hate" for this episode too. I think, after much reflecting, it may even be my favorite episode. Some great, great stuff happens here.

I like even more that that in the beginning of the episode, it totally feels like Lincoln is thinking, "Well, I'll just try and go fuck the OTHER Olivia then" and looks for a reason to go over there.
Is it true that Fringe is getting canceled because three of the cows that play Gene died during production?
Fair enough, ratings have been up 300 percent this season though, so at least MORE people are watching.
I'd like to mention as well that in that "The Town" montage, they had originally intended to have Jon running into Jon Hamm and being like, "Hey, it's that guy from The Town! Ben Affleck!" which would have been great.
Also, Ben's plan/follow-through in the season two finale is incredibly well thought out and satisfying.
Was wondering how Quarles would manage to top himself this week, and using a fucking SHOTGUN for a pipe is one of the cooler things that I've seen.
It got better as it went along. Adam Scott does a great job guest-starring in an episode, and there's a two-part alternate reality/Earth-2 thing they do towards the end which is really good. From what Scheer has been tweeting, it seems like season two will be even better, and Aziz seems to be appearing in at least one…
No one is bringing up the fact that Harmon has REPEATEDLY said they've tried to get Murray for Jeff's Dad, and if that couldn't get him to agree to that, he's not going to join the cast.
This man went on to make many great salads.
That's what I loved about it, that at first you thought, "It's a beautifully sexual subtle tattoo that they won't draw attention to," and then, they completely address it, only to undercut what you thought it was, but if you didn't notice it in the first place the undercutting wouldn't be nearly as funny.
It was Roger's Pimp Cup all over again.
I understand that, but isn't that what the purpose of "You've Got the Touch" is in the first place. Especially in the context of Boogie Nights. The songs follow the exact same rhythm.
Also, that song played over the montage was supposed to be riffing on "You Got the Touch", right? If not, it was eerily similar. Agree with everything in this review. A fantastic episode with the SIMPLEST of plots. I'm really happy this show is moving into Home Movies territory.
Yes. To be doing this and Community at the same time (I guess the Russo brothers are maybe the connection) would be really the greatest.
I thought so too! One scene ended with "rocksteady", and the next had "bebop" in the opening seconds. It could just be weird editing/diction, but it's not like those two words were needed at all.
There is absolutely no way that this happens, but I would be so, so happy if this "Archer in space" finale had Barry teaming up with Killface, or some sort of nod to the character.
Pigly.
I've said it before, but all of this Barry re-positioning this season has made the show feel the most like FRISKY DINGO that it ever has; that cyborg fight this episode, and just the general larger arc planning especially.
One of my favorite jokes from the series is the episode that pulls away to show you that Klaus, as a human, is telling the story to his grandchild, so, you know, at some point, he's getting out of that fish…
