That was the first song I heard by this band, cus the Neil Young original is one of my favourite songs ever. It's one of the only covers that actually does the original justice. It helps that Martsch's voice is similar to Young's.

I found it maddeningly difficult. It made me question my self-worth. Finished the bastard though

He does apologise for it on the page!

I love this guy's cartooning so it was awesome to read, particularly since it has changed considerably since Scott Pilgrim, but story-wise it was all a bit derivative, I thought.

Yeah, I don't really get how anyone who read the comics could have thought Cera was right for the part. Like most of the cast (except Kieran Culkin, who nailed it) he worked fine in the movie, but really didn't do justice to the character from the books. He just seemed to lack basically all of Scott's defining traits.

I fucking love these books! I recently splurged and bought both the colourised Vol. 4 and Seconds, since Vol. 4 is my favourite… O'Malley really succeeded at capturing that summer feeling. The only downside to colourising 'em is that you lose the magic of having the first few pages of Vol. 4 be the only colour moments

Honestly, it may be the binge-watching, but I had no idea we were meant to have seen that character before when I first watched this ep

The real mistake they made was getting rid of Bob Gunton.

Eh, I actually think it could have been cool to have that scene and then cut to him staring ominously at the wall in his jail cell. I will concede that him walking along the bridge with his Badass Longcoat blowing around was too good to leave out though.

Thanks for the reviews, Oliver. I never card quite as much about the sexism/racism or whatever as you did, but apart from that stuff you captured basically exactly how I felt about each episode. I actually agreed with every episode grade! Thank you and goodnight

I think it's clear that the only sensible route forward is assless chaps

Guess he was Crazy Prepared, but to be honest, him just going to jail would have satisfied me just fine, and made more sense. I seriously didn't need that big climactic fight (which ended up being a real letdown anyway). The story was over already.

Something about the mask makes beautiful Charlie Cox look like he has a fat, squishy neck/jaw. It's weird as fuck

Hey, how did Fisk organise that SWAT ambush anyway? Didn't the Feds arrest all his dirty cops?

Strongly agree. The first six episodes of this show were straight-up terrific, I thought, and I really liked the Stick episode but it was a little silly at times… like every time they cut to Stick fighting and he was so, so clearly a stunt double. To the point that it was comical. I did like later episodes, but the

He mentions his son a few times - it must be him who becomes the Owl.

I comment on my male friends' hotness quite a lot (and sometimes vice versa) but I don't really consider that sexual tension between us… this part of the review confused me, but okay.

I honestly have no idea. I hope so. I think that The Messiah and Allfather D'Aronique are probably the best encapsulation of the series' views on organised religion. They're a big part of its spirit. But I don't know how they could ever get away with it on TV.

That is an amazing idea that I do not want to see

I'm sure they're just going to say fuck it and cast Mark Strong. Ideally I'd pick Ralph Fiennes ten years ago.
