Ugh.  No.  Wrong wrong wrong.  First off, as Lloyd covered, so many other people who it should have been before her (Nasim—seriously, Lorne, does your boner only extend to traditionally-pretty women who are also white?—Mulaney, McKinnon, Bryant, POB).  Upside: this saves us from running "Girl at the Party" completely

Damn you Lorne Michaels for continually working to bring what could be a truly special show down to slightly below the middle. SNL could be so great if you just let it!

Judging by the goosebumps I got hearing that theme song on my TV for the first time in well over a year, I'm going to be freaking out come October 19th, y'all.

Yeah—he's in Philly this year for fellowship while I'm still in residency in Chicago.  So we do the long-distance thing and I go there every-other-weekend-ish.  Upside: daytrip to NYC for my birthday next month!

Oh, not too much.  Weekend in Philly.  Went to Reading Terminal Market and had a delicious roast pork sandwich and a apple turnover.  Got groceries. Came back to my husband's apartment and took a food coma nap.  Decided we weren't really hungry for dinner and just wanted to go to a bar near his place for some wine.

Yeah.  There was also one traumatizing situation in which, mid-description of something-or-other hideous that Christian does, boom!—there's a picture of Abed-as-Batman.  It's like aversion therapy or something :-P

What are you feelings on her bringing up Britta?  Because I need help reacting…

I saw this when I first woke up today and thought "Oh, I guess we're doing fake movie titles and the movies that go with them today in the CZ." (well, actually, first by the title I thought it was fake USA shows, but still)  Yikes.

I'm already annoyed (over something else) today and yet for some reason I still clicked on that….*head explodes*  Wow.  Exhibit A of why I'm  okay with the concept of God, but I just haven't been able to do the whole church thing lately….

And yet every aspiring television writer I know in Chicago (and it turns out I know a lot of them) is writing a spec script for it.  I can't figure out if it's because they all really like it or just because it's got clearly-defined characters or episode rhythms or something that makes it easy to feel like they could

Hooray for a perhaps-early demise for Ironside (Pornstache needs to go back to OITNB!) and Welcome to the Family (My poor name is getting dragged through the mud enough with the drug—I now know how the Mary Janes of the world feel!—without having to be attached to some pregnant girl in some lame sitcom. Plus, NBC's

@avclub-0d2489dba7effa5ad151010fb41e215c:disqus Yeah, my realistic hopes would be McHale (because he also has The Soup, starting to be a little more famous) or Glover (also has the Gambino fans, already hooked into the UCB scene).  Jacobs and Pudi (who has an improv & sketch background) would be who my heart really

Thought process:

Umm…SNL?  If you're bringing people in to host "just because," I have a few suggestions….

See?  That's why I just refreshed the page to see what you guys did.—Walking NPR, passive and confrontation-phobic even in my dreams.
