It's a shame the writers felt they had to be so on-the-nose. Yeah, Alaimo is full of charisma for days on end, that's why Dukat is such a fucking awesome character. I love Dukat, but I never lost sight of the fact that he was a monster.
Man, fans really suck sometimes, and I hate when production gives in to the

Thank God for Marc Alaimo, because imagine how bad some of the later stuff would have been in the hands of a lesser actor.

Agreed. I sit in awe more of a Harryhausen film than I do a Michael Bay film.

Typecasting!

It's almost like all the CGI heavy action sequences are just animated to me. Either be an animated film or live action, pick one, dammit! Few are the films that can balance the two.

I'd tie it with Errol Flynn's Adventures of Robin Hood. So much damn fun, both of these movies.

I remember golf-ball sized Jurassic Park jawbreakers they sold when this movie came out. It was purple and speckled, I think to represent a dinosaur egg. That son of a bitch was huge.

Fuck tornadoes. In 4th grade we read "Night of the Twisters" which is based on a true story. 20(?) tornadoes in one night in Nebraska, I believe. Who in their right minds assigns this terrifying crap to 10 year olds? I am now terrified of those damn things.
Have not seen a tornado movie that scared me, though.

Fuckin' wheelers.

Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown. My brothers and I wore the damn Beta tape out.

"Burnt Offerings" kind of sucks, but dammit does that grinning chauffeur scare the bejesus out of me.

I saw Blair Witch in the theater in the afternoon. Went home that evening and watched Event Horizon. By myself. I was right messed up for the next couple of nights.

Something I really appreciated about Insidious was that when the mom thought the house was haunted, she insisted they move. And they did. Finally, somebody was acting intelligently in a movie and not just inviting danger to keep on tormenting them.

Yes! It's so simple, but those damn piano chords are the devil's music.

I kind of love Norman Bates and wish he had gotten away with his crimes. Which basically makes me a monster, yes.

I love Night of the Living Dead. I only saw it for the first time about 4 years ago. That first zombie in the graveyard…shiver. Never did I think some guy slowly shuffling along could be so scary.
Also terrifying: the newscaster describing with disgust a disembodied head. Ugh. I also found this movie effective

Agreed. Fuck the possession scenes, I hate all the needles in the seemingly endless medical tests this poor girl has to endure.

I thought that segment was going to be pure cheese. Color me surprised when it did legitimately frighten me.
I hate the cutting through the suitcase scene the most.

I agree. Samara crawling out of the television does nothing for me. But that video. Dear God, that video. It scares me shitless.

I watch Sarah and Duck even when my kid isn't there as an excuse.
