it is, weirdly, one of those things that I will never forget where I was or what I was doing, but I don't really know why it was so seared into my memory. I was at the mall with my best friend, and when I got home, my dad was watching it. I sat down and watched it with him. Surreal is the right word for sure.

I wasn't even a Rangers fan, and I remember the rush of that season. Something about seeing a drought like that end is pretty incredible. I begged my mom for a subscription to Sports Illustrated for my bday that year, mostly for the Rangers road to victory VHS that came with it (I was crazy about hockey back then)

It was during Forest Gump that I realized I should not be dating the guy I was with that night. He turned to me during the Dick Cavett/John Lennon scene and asked "who's that?" (referring to JL). I said "John Lennon. From the Beatles." I got a blank look in return.

the creepiest one is the guy that looks exactly like Beavis

my first concert was REM in support of Monster in Philly at the Spectrum!

so what old movie is this based on? The Net?

hey, i'm no fan of ol' W, but I'll give it to you that it was cute

i couldn't spell etheridge (I forgot the second e). the spelling it exactly as they put it gets me on these sporcle quizzes (I'm not the world's greatest speller)

there are still local video stores here (a fact that astonished me when I moved to the midwest from the east coast)! however, i really doubt I could pick up this movie there

this is awesome — two of my favorite things together. "Long live the bumbling badger of mediocrity"

Haha, I love the comment "the Onion is satire. How did you even get elected?" posted to that numbnuts Congressman's facebook post. Excellent

I finally got to see Boyhood. The entire time, I thought to myself "most people would hate this movie." But I didn't. It really moved me, and afterwards I had a bittersweet feeling of nostalgia for my own first love and moving on to college. I thought it was beautiful.

I don't watch this show (I just really enjoy Teti's write-ups), so I have no idea how Fade pronounces his name, but in my mind it is "fah-day" because of Sade.

Yeah, it's funny because I don't watch this show, but I always read the write-up if Teti posts one because they crack me up and are well written (I also read Tom and Lorenzo's because it is usually bitchy fun too).

I didn't care much after I got my PhD, but after I got my DVM, it was different. For one, I feel that you are presenting yourself to clients and staff as a professional and part of that is being the "Dr" (as opposed to interacting with peers in an academic setting), and two, I have two freaking doctorates, I've

Last name shortenings happen when your last name starts with "Mac" or you have a long, probably Polish, last name that most people find unpronounceable

It seems like this happens IRL too. Although since becoming a "Dr," I almost never get called by my first name anymore, but usually by "doc" or a diminutive of my last name. (I'm a woman btw). I've idly thought about whether or not this says something about how certain titles that should be gender neutral are perhaps

which is a prerequisite for his next class, how to eat all the eggs

I think you are mixing Vermont up with New Hampshire

I'm trying to remember all the one's I had (its been a while), but insomnia, increased appetite, ridiculous levels of fidgity/anxious/kind of buzzed feeling are the one's i remember. I had no sensation during sex for a while, and couldn't orgasm for well over a year. And if I missed a dose, I'd have a migraine by
