Pretty much every review this season has been talking about how the show has a weak satire. I've never been convinced any of these episodes were really going for satire (with the except of Politically Inept, With Homer Simpson). Not every episode of The Simpsons is going to be taking on some sort of social or

That's how I see it. A few of the murders may have been real, but even then, the ones that did happen were wildly exaggerated.

I'll admit that while Louise is (debatably) the best character on the show, it was very nice to see her get punished for antics for once. Because while she's funny, I can only imagine how awful she would be for anyone to deal with.

On a separate topic, I couldn't disagree more with "certain meanness to Gil being crushed that sucks the air out of the first", and "Dr. Hibbert finds the guy in front of him to be full of gamma radiation poisoning, which is really too horrifying, especially when he collapses on the floor, to make his weak “Hulk

I for one, was disappointed by the lack of Futurama references in this episode. It was about robots! How can you NOT do that? Maybe there was a reference, but it was obscure, and I didn't catch them. (Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. I don't know, I missed a couple scenes.) If there was, then job well done,

I just assumed his mom must of been a hunter… Which I suppose is a bit of a stretch. At the very least, she was a collector of unique and cursed objects. She collected weird things. So what? I didn't think we needed the reasons for it spelled out for us. It was what it was. No point getting to know a character that

"Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague, and we… are the cure."

No, the show has definitely had long and frequent breaks before. However, this season is definitely worse than the previous few.

I just kind of assumed they want to cure cancer because it's a threat to their food supply. Humans are like cattle to them, right? And if a big disease came a long that was killing tons of cattle, certainly some company would research a way to get rid of that. Same deal here. Cancer is killing their food supply. Sure,

It's a bit like Buffy's latter seasons, in that way. Even though overall the past couple of seasons may not have been as good as the prior ones (though, personally, I think season 7 is a bit above season 6), there have still be a lot of great individual episodes scattered all about the seasons.

The backlash will occur regardless! It is a force of nature! It can not be stopped!

First Subway buys the BuyMore, now Greendale. Where will it end!?

Normally I think Community would win out over 30 Rock, but honestly, I enjoyed 30 Rock more tonight. Maybe it's just that I've been away from Community for so long, while I've been spending much more time with 30 Rock that it's just easier for me to laugh/enjoy the 30 Rock characters, and I need some time to warm back

We don't know if it was an accident or not. Hell, for all we know it could have gone down something like this! (Note, in this scenario, Chevy Chase and Dan Harmon have been combined into a single unfeeling, pop-culture spouting entity.):

That's a good plan @avclub-b20754d0f1e8ae843e00a8b39a667112:disqus , if not for the fact that this is indeed, the internet, and everyone on here is terrible at simple things like capitalization and spelling.

A sexy sexologist? Make her sexier! Or less sexy.

I missed the final minute/thirty seconds of the show due to having to DVR Cougar Town as well.

Actually, @avclub-22eda830d1051274a2581d6466c06e6c:disqus , Klaus was a East German Olympic ski-jumper, who had his brain put into the body of a fish to prevent the Germans from winning the gold medal. That said he does seem to show Nazi sympathetic views from time to time.

Yeah, I could actually see Mona being okay leaving Homer with Abe. While she may hate the man, and he was never going to win any father of the year awards, he wasn't going really let anything bad happen to Homer.

"But not so much that anyone, except perhaps Klaus, overstayed their welcome."
