They are made in his image, as it were?

I'm glad she had the sense to leave Sawyer alone at the end. Our little Kate is finally growing up.

I think it's partially to reinforce the themes of repitition and "whatever happened, happened". A lot of the storytelling in Lost is evocative of a record continuously spinning - some folks wind up in the same place no matter what, and there are archetypal elements that are fulfilled no matter what.

The Others also wanted the body of Amy's husband after their altercation.

Charles Widmore in the 50s said that the Others had been there for 30 years. I started wondering if those Others we re British archaeologists who were looking for Egyptian ruins. I, too, didn't think the island had human natives.

I love that the Swan's countdown timer goes to 109 and beyond.

I don't understand Hatering on Temple Grandin - she's a fascinating woman. Her autism gave her a better understanding of animals. Second "Anthropologist on Mars."

@Basil: I read that. It was pretty scathing, and slanted toward Leno.

I wish they would.

I left Leno on last night in order to see this segment. I haven't gotten an extended dose of Leno in years, and it was disgusting. He's kinda filthy. I don't know why the flyover states miss him, but they do. There was a local talk radio segment last week when this started, and people were calling in to say how

Ah, but America is dumb. Leno's fans think he's behaving princely about the whole thing.

Sigourney Weaver is available, and will throw in her cigarette smoking skills for free.

Another vote for The Ref, but I also enjoy some Trading Places at Christmas.

Cyndi Lauper's video couldn't prevent him from seeming like more of an interesting dad than he was meant to be. A fitting monument for a fun guy. RIP.

Lynch's book "Catching the Big Fish" is one of the best ways to find out what he as an artist is driving at. Once you get a handle on that, it's easier to understand his art, and why he doesn't explain his art. He specifically addresses why he doesn't do DVD commentaries, and acknowledges that each time you see a

"Pick up your face!" has me in stitches every time I see it.

I love parsnips, and I was highly amused by his parsnip show. I'm surprised that Jerry Seinfeld's wife didn't try to sue him for that, though.

He's more into the mechanics of cooking than food itself. Check out "I'm Just Here for the Food" for a better biography. He wanted to make a show that was more food science than culinary magic.

I record Good Eats every night, because it's the only show left that teaches cooking techniques, elements of food, etc. I've learned so much about how things work, and why a lot of things don't.

How about some love for the Boulder/Denver area? We have hipsters, literate ones that like to stand in line for book signings, ones that drink microbrews. We'll even buy a round if you come!
