I think Desmond nailed it when he warned the others that this was just a game between Ben and Widmore. Neither of them are good, and both are more interested in their personal power than the island. Ben's fertility experiments, Widmore putting down roots off the island. Perhaps the island brought the Lostaways in

Guitarjelly, per a recent podcast, we do find out about the 3.2M.

The shot of Ben in the water was a thing of beauty. The red was so vivid. It reminded me of the commentary on the pilot episode - they refrained from showing any red (clothes, anything) until the scene with the leg, to emphasize that particular moment.

Ben is not a reliable narrator. When he says that dead is dead, don't believe it.

If Daniel's "not exactly" with the I5, has he gone insane? Is his mind gone? And that missing foot of his is still driving me nuts. Is he somehow going to provide the rest of the 4-toed statue?

I vote bomb. I think they're with Widmore, and he's pulled that trick before. Although how they got a bomb …. Maybe it was something already on the island.

No offense, Tasha - since IMDB already blew it a while ago.

I'm with Sensie - I read it in the last year, and had now idea they were *SPOILER* clones until well into the book. That was a mind-tilting surprise, and the book would have been a lot less gripping had I known that in advance. When I saw the blurb about the film adaptation, I was so annoyed that a plot synopsis was

Mizrahi wins because he's not afraid to paw at celebrities while they're on the red carpet. He's got hutzpah!

David Krumholtz, the inimitable Mr. Universe

I used to love Luckies, but the girlie ones with filters.

I'm guessing that's when they take Alex. Looks like they're going to cover a LOT of Ben's story next week.

Huh, is this the first time we've seen a character's action in the present be influenced by the past, but it wasn't a flashback? So, Jack didn't save Ben this time around, but we already know why - we don't need that information via flashback. The scattered timelines are getting awesomely tight.

Good call. If there haven't been spies and counter-intelligence, this intermingling would be the perfect trigger event.

Kate's a nutter, but it was nice to see her finally do something besides mope or beat her chest about her "son." Seemed like some right and wrong finally started clicking with her.

@Beautiful - I loved Jack tonight and how relaxed he is. He's not just on board with going back to the island because he didn't have anything in his life, it's because he really feels it. The bearded, angry Jack was his struggle letting go of his skepticism and believing the things he'd seen on the island.

liking Jack and Kate
The thing I enjoyed about this episode is how much I liked Jack and Kate again. They were complex, engaging characters in this episode - not just shouty and miserable. They had something to do - Jack was taking a stand on helping Ben again, and Kate was acting on her moral center. The first

What, did that poker show go off the air? Do folks still play poker and watch other people play poker?

Amen to that.

If you're interested in English covers, Mick Harvey made a couple of really great albums.
