Same. I watched this before heading into work, and it just made me feel so…good. I love this show. Glad things are picking up for you.

I love this show. I love it so much.

My favorite moment as well.

I read an interview with Billy Joel in which he confessed to thinking about what kind of turkey sandwich he would order from room service during his umpteenth rendition of "Just the Way You Are."

I like to think that the rest of the movie is a fantasy playing out in Cruise's head while he's in cryo-freeze. I doubt that's what Spielberg intended, but it works pretty well regardless.

A miniseries set on the Eastern Front would be good. You can just wipe out whole swaths of characters every episode and replace them entirely by the next. After 13 episodes most Russian 15-48 year olds will be listed on IMDB.

I wouldn't say it's all downhill. Once Marcus Aurelius decides that his best successor is the worst emperor of all time (Commodus), then I'd say there is a clear decline. Things get really interesting in the 3rd  and early 4th centuries. It's probably my favorite portion of the podcasts.
