I'd buy a space calendar with intergalactic pin-up girl Shirna. Fabulous.

I was wondering where the Cars were on this list.
Eeeeeeeeeeexcellent!
"Delete" is new and horrible RTD-ness, as was turning their jug handles into ear buds. If they had a catch phrase in the classic series, it was "you will be like us" or "you will become like us." It is so effective because it captures what they are as well as their horror and menace without melodrama. (I also like…
I can say one good thing about the Cybermen two-parter: Grame Harper captured a great shot when he filmed the Cybermen kicking in doors and windows from floor level, looking upward at them. It is the equivalent of realizing Daleks need to be filmed from about waist-high to accentuate their menace and the elegance of…
"Glitz and Dibber are a terrific pairing too"
For my $$, Time and the Rani is worse than anything in this TOATL season.
I need someone to check my memory; didn't Glitz had a preferred currency? Maybe something that sounded like "grotzys"?
I suspect that might have been a better season than ToaTL, but it still would have been besest by the problematic trends of the JNT era: too much recycling, too little innovation, glum nihilism, cynicism, and brute force rather than intellect and romance (apologies, Craig Ferguson), etc.
too much Buffy on their minds
TGITF is far and away my favorite Tennant episode—maybe my most beloved of all "new Who"
Nelson was bummed he got stuck with a minor speaking role in the mission instead. What's one line versus the ultimate log flume ride?
Ghost Light is probably my favorite 7 serial, but I also appreciate the episodes with lesser reputations (e.g. the Ballard homage Paradise Towers and Happiness Patrol—what a great speech the Doctor makes about killing a person and I love the way Kandyman answers the phone). I'm lukewarm on Battlefield (the "boom"…
Great show—definitely worth checking it out. My buddy and I regularly use a line from Creek. If ever we spill anything, we quote Maddy Magellan's disastrous date: "at least it's not urine."
"Mr. Fibuli, are you trying to scuttle this planet!?"
I only wish it were invisible, but I've seen it. Contact has been made.
This is an astute review of a great episode of Doctor Who—chilling and atmospheric with some examples of Baker and his line delivery at their peak (the aforementioned lines about not having been introduced, being full of ideas, and the declaration that by morning they may all be dead). It has a weak cliffhanger…
Yep—he needs to spend 2 minutes in the penalty box for omitting them. "And you feel shame. Then you go free."
I loved that Nat X skit. Didn't they also spoof the endless ______-cam skits Letterman would do by having a jail-cam and try to throw Nat X behind a graphic of jail bars?
No love for "The Opposite of Sex"?
