Warrior's Gate is fantastic. (The whole E-Space trilogy is a high point.) Good dialogue, nice concept, the coin flip, K-9's eastern philosophizing … and that episode 3 cliffhanger!

not even the courtesy of a reach-around

I have seen both perform in concert twice; Soul Asylum was very good, but the Jayhawks were excellent.

I read those comics for a while, but forgot about them. They got sort of annoying, hateful and repetitive. Plus, the fascist undercurrent of Rick "doing what is necessary" and his hypocrisy with regard to Carl's murderous streak made the comics insufferable rather than interesting or entertaining. I watched a season

I have no arguments to defend my taste here, but I simply liked "No Such Thing."

I could see why Tony would want to distance himself from it, but unless he is being crazy like a fox and deliberately stirring up shit and antagonizing Johnny, that remark is one of Tony's ill-considered mis-steps.

Don't make me garrote you with my scapular or my St. Jude Thaddeus medal.

That is an interesting take, Pope Corky, but I don't buy it as much as I would like to. I took his disgust to be at her lack of self-awareness, her inability to recognize that her time as sexually alluring is over. What once might have been titillating is now disgusting. If it was disgust at his father choosing this

I thought they were "Islander" tickets.

Prole Hole, I *love* that silent hearse, and the way the clown occasionally rolls down the window and peers about malevolently.

The other characters were all so devoid of scruples (or, in Orcini's case, manipulated by people without honor, happy to manipulate his sense thereof), all the Doctor needed to do was stay out of their way long enough for them to eliminate one another. It makes for a depressing and nihilistic piece of work, but once

Thanks yet again, Mr. Bahn. You were more critical—well, less complimentary than I expected. I thought this serial enjoyed a much higher reputation than Resurrection, and deservedly so. Nevertheless, I have a hard time disputing any of your criticisms, and you have persuaded me that Saward deserves more blame for the
