If Paul had written Here Comes the Sun (and he easily could have) no one would think it was anything but a nice little cheery song.

I like Birthday. But Yesterday is an incredible piece of work and I will never understand how anyone could dislike it.

I always skip Bungalow Bill. But not because Yoko is on it. I just don't think it's a very good song.

They tried to make Get Back a satiric political statement criticizing anti-immigration sentiment in Britain at the time. But Paul abandoned that approach out of fear it would be misinterpreted as a song criticizing immigration (much like Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA gets misinterpreted as some patriotic hymn).

Because Hey Jude is glorious. It's not Paul's fault or the song's fault that the song has been heard so often. But if you step away from the song, and don't listen to it for several years (which is entirely possible as it's not played on the radio or anything), it's absolutely stunning. I like Happiness is a Warm Gun,

This is one Beatles song I'm tired of hearing. Yes, it's lovely. But talk about overplayed.

This is always overstated. He hasn't performed the song all that much at public events. Last time was 3 years ago, so not all that recent.

Early on George wasn't all that cute. He had a unibrow until he plucked it, and spotty skin. But from the years of about 65 through 70, he was really lovely. Then of course the ugly 70s arrived, and George gave himself some godawful perms. After that, he looks nice but average.

Yes, I agree that John Lennon could be a "staggeringly colossal asshole" at times (like to his first wife and son). But in fact, he never said that quote about Ringo. It was a joke made up by some comedian in the 1980s and attributed to John Lennon. But the obsessive Beatles researcher Mark Lewisohn has documented

Other than Finding Nemo, I think I've hated every single one of these movies.

Ram is "arguably" the best album by any of the ex-Beatles, too. And Plastic Ono Band is "arguably" the best album by any of the ex-Beatles. All 3 are great albums.

I know. But I like knocking my head against walls.

You first, asshole.

Paul is still alive, therefore the Beatle with the most talent is still alive. And only someone who knows very little about the Beatles music would argue otherwise.

There is no such thing as growing old "gracefully." And there is nothing wrong with men and women dyeing their hair whatever color they want. Sick to death of these limp cheap shots at dyed hair on men. If Paul and Bruce Springsteen and Yoko and Ringo and countless other old artists want to dye their hair, that's

I'm on board with the Paul Newman/Joanne Woodward movies love. Anyone ever seen them in The Long Hot Summer? Good god, that's some sexual chemistry. Totally dated love story. At one point he says to her, "All right then, run, lady, and you keep on running. Buy yourself a bus ticket and disappear. Change your name, dye

Heh. This photo of Jack White never fails to make me laugh. (scrolls up to look at photo, laughs again).

Always with you it cannot be done.

Ringo is going to be 75 years old in a couple months. Slamming him for getting a bit of help from his friends at 75 years old seems a bit unnecessary.

It's pointless to dispute this with someone who sounds like they read a paragraph about the Beatles and then formed an opinion. But: Dylan met the Beatles in 1964, at the very start of their career — not halfway through. They'd only seriously started writing songs in 62-63. And they were already moving into new
