Oh Lou, you were such a poopy head.

Taylor Swift has given some poor live performances at past award shows. She was being conservative by not performing at the Grammys or on SNL because, I'm guessing, she didn't want to deal with the Twitter hate about how she "can't sing live" in advance of her forthcoming tour. It didn't matter that she did the skit.

Not sure what you mean. Taylor didn't sing on live television.

Maybe Eddie Murphy just didn't want to deal with the Twitter/Facebook lynch mob who love to jump on any performer who struggles. Maybe he thought, kind of like David Bowie, "better to not appear anywhere and keep my mystique than to risk failure and have the next day's story all over the web be: EDDIE MURPHY IS NO

Paul is not smug. He's awkward. I find it endearing and occasionally embarrassing. But then I don't like everything Kanye does either.

I watched this video yesterday and had the song stuck in my head all day. So mission accomplished for McKanye. And that is one gorgeous kid. I love the WTF look on her face. As both a Kanye fan and a McCartney fan, I wasn't sure what to expect and I hope their other collaborations on KW's album venture more into the

Paul's contribution may be the melody. And it's lovely. You sound as knee-jerk in your McCartney view as the silly Beatles fans who are ranting about Kanye.

Funny how many comments I've seen on other stories about this by outraged Beatles fans ranting at Paul for having "lowered himself" to work with Kanye. These are the same Beatles fans who will excuse Lennon for any loudmouthed arrogant behavior yet somehow dismiss Kanye entirely as an artist for being an arrogant

See I think the auto tune serves a purpose here. Kanye is channeling his late mother in these lyrics: She's speaking to him from whatever version of heaven he believes in. And the auto tune has an otherworldly sound that helps convey that. I think it works.

"… So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills, you know the one, Dr. Everything Will be All Right. Instead of asking how much of your time you got left, ask him how much of your mind. Cause in this life, things are much harder than the afterworld. In this life, you're on your own. …"

I like the Rihanna song. So there.

What do you love about Middlemarch? Just curious.

Middlemarch. I've done all the Jane Austen books. I've read most of the Bronte sisters. But I never read Middlemarch. I think it's going to be slower-going than Austen. I'm already irritated by Dorothea's religious fervor and much prefer her sister. I'm not that impressed with the book's writing style, though, and am

OK this is where I sheepishly admit that I actually cried reading this book in college, at the point where Cora and Uncas die. I suppose it was the utter hopelessness of their romance. But I loved the book. Most colonial era fiction isn't all that gripping and/or moving as this book is.

I used to do a great impression of The Count. My Kermit was pretty damn good, too. Anyone wanna hear?

Absolutely. And that built-in sandwich machine, too.

I suppose this is too big of a prop but … I would love to have the multicolored house the Beatles lived in in Help. It looked like 4 houses from the outside and was one big open space inside, and was decorated like a Barbie House for boys.

Except it seems to me that Paul was the one indulging John. Paul was working his ass off on all aspects of their late-period albums from the music to the album cover design, while John was doing a lot of drugs and zoning out.

Two of Us is kind of like the precursor to Paul's first two solo albums. If you listen to Two of Us, you can see exactly where McCartney and Ram came from. Gorgeous track.

Somewhere I have Steve Kemp's autograph. Who is Steve Kemp, you ask? He is a former left fielder for the Detroit Tigers and I was obsessed with him and used to follow his stats every day. My sister was obsessed with the more conventional looking (ie: cute) catcher, Lance Parrish. We stood outside Tiger Stadium one
