I'm pretty sure the x-men universe would produce a less complicated flowchart than TVD right now.

So, uh, how are they paying for everything? I'm starting to think that this town actually takes place in some scandinavian country where people actually get welfare and have weird-to-me festivals all the time.

Definitely 12 hybrids + Tyler (the Alpha). I'm so sad we didn't get to see some sort of Westside Story-esque dance fight that Tyler's pack clearly would have excelled at. They already moved as one!

I love this show, and they really don't need to mulligan too many things, but the ones that do need a mulligan are so glaring.

Yea, but that's only because he has to die during the season finale. He is doomed.

The entire sire bond is weird and, as pointed out above, unwise. But, as much as an improvement sending Elena away is, it still feels weird since she may not want to go. Which feelings are real! It's so frustrating.

Poor Tyler. Dude cannot catch a break. At this point he seems to have the moral high ground (as high as it gets in Mystic Falls at least). It's also pretty amazing to really sort of sit back and see how much his character has changed. I could not have visualized him like this from way back in the first season.

Having not read any of your other bullet points, I agree 100% on this.

This show, probably more than any other, has some serious consent issues that it hasn't always dealt with successfully. I will give the writers some credit this go around, though. They managed to somehow write themselves out of the corner that Carrie was talking about last week, as well as create 50 shades of grey…

I'd be even happier if we got a little Waylon Jennings commentary, but I can't tell yet if a song with that pace is going to fit into this show
