Never seen The Mangler.  Does at accurately portray the scene in Stephen King's short story where a character gets his arm caught in the machine and his bicep swells up and explodes like a water balloon?  Cuz that remains one of my favorite "this is impossible, but god-DAMN" moments in King's oeuvre.

The real mind-fuck is hearing the extended version of the X-Files theme song (which I heard at a grocery store early in the morning, of all places).  It's all pretty much the same, but the melody of the whistling parts changes slightly - which is extremely noticeable when you've heard the same phrase hundreds of times.
