I always had a twinge of shame flying those planes into the San Francisco skyline. But then I would direct my parachute back to the airport and steal another one and do it again.

I tend to agree. The notion of normal people trying to deal with south park in a normal way and suffering terribly for it is a pretty reliable source of jokes. They are sick jokes; I don't disagree with nugent on that. However, I do think that part of engaging with south park is taking some of the humor on its own

Yes, but datedness is a measure of recognizability, not quality.

Sigh. While I realize that regular Gonzalez is probably being deliberately outrageous, that still doesn't disguise the sentiment that a sharply written, well acted ensemble comedy made today is innately inferior to the same thing made fifteen or twenty years ago, or to comedy made forty or fifty years ago. It's more

Last I checked the consensus was that they're going to cancel the show anyway and it's going to suck because Dan Harmon won't be around with his comically outsized emotions and so maybe we should all watch it with the expectation that it will be bad and get canceled.

I've always disagreed about ebert on David lynch and the coen brothers (his review of raising Arizona hits almost Rex Reed like heights of 'didn't get it so I hate it' arrogance), but I won't begrudge a critic his taste, and he usually (usually) justifies his reviews well, even if I think he's wrong.

I hope this documentary allots at least forty minutes to ebert's attack on rob Schneider.
