Finally, a chance for Eddie Murphy to get some respect. At lease until he puts on a fat suit again to play Paula Dean. Which I am sure will garner him and the make up a nomination.

What you guys didn't try…
I'm surprised no one read between the lines on this one and added plain old over the counter children's cough syrup. It's in the AV Club lost and found next to the syringe and the glass eye.

Do you think Aerosmith will be in again tonight?

One good deed begets another, or some shit like that
David Cross should have been in this instead. Much better choice than "Alvin and the Chipmunks." I heard this movie actually had a laugh in it.

I Hate
I hate that I got here so soon and it is already irrelevant. I guess this should have been silently hated on. Xenu has some big fucking ears.

I wanted to riot
The show itself was amazing, minus the fact that they still felt the need to inject some pointless commentary that went nowhere, but please allow me to say this…

You mean the kids in the sweatshops?

Screw you WGA!
Did anyone notice or think that it was a giant fuck you to the writers guild to not televise who won for best screenplay? That was really the only part of the "press conference results show without the actual press conference" that was somewhat interesting. Seems like a subtle low blow to me.

I said Muc.

Not too muc to say about the music itself, but…
I really don't have much to say here. Some things I liked some things I didn't, and I have bitched about them elsewhere on this site, but this feels like High Fidelity without all that nasty plot to get in the way of the music.

Oddly enough, I tend to think less when I watch a Jarmusch film. Not in the sense that I don't pay attention to what is going on, but in the sense that he is one of the few filmmakers that actually allows me to sit back and become enveloped by what is unfolding on screen.

The above description.
I know it was kind of mad libbed, but it sounds like it could be the plot of "Southland Tales 2."

Blue Christmas
This is the first movie I ever saw in my life that I thought sucked. That was when I was 5 and I used to think everything I saw was magical.

And after all these years…
Bud Bundy still looks like Seth Green in "Can't Hardly Wait."

I used to think '99 was the best year I was alive for…
But now that I read this and look into it more, this was a much better year across the board.

Ham it up
A Paula Dean ham is just 16 pounds of butter wrapped in bacon.

Nip it in the Bud and Cork it.

Secret Success or not the story behind Coppola's movies are amazing
I have been kind of geeking out all day over Coppola day because while I haven't liked all of his films, the stories behind how they got made are just amazing. This one is no exception. Not having a distributor at first in the wake of the "Heaven's

Yeah, no need to apologize. This movie is not as worthy of scorn as a "Howard" or a "Pay It Forward." It's just as interesting given the circumstances under which it was made.

Depressing (Life, not the list)
The list was fine, but what depressed me the most about this year was that while I wanted to see most every movie on the "master" list, they all came out between October and December when I was dirt poor. Alas, school, eating, and rent is just too expensive. Makes me wish I still worked
