Will Ferrell is going highbrow lately. He's got an adaptation of a Raymond Carver story coming out that's supposed to be somewhat dark and a "telenovela" movie with the guys from Y Mama tu Tambien that sounds like it could be dadaist.

I was really suprised Gervais didn't go for the Buscemi - Walking Dead joke. Seemed like a gimmie.

I thought the "Thank god…blah blah atheist" joke was a sour note. It was out of place and seemed to just be him trying to say one last edgy thing.

The pre-release of this has been an emotional rollercoaster for me.

I think Movieline had it right when they were talking about this trend of having "surprise guest stars" and then immediately ruining the surprise by talking about it in the press. Mainly they were talking about the upcoming Muppet Movie, but I think it applies to everything these days.
