Suspense & relief
I was relieved that Walter didn't confess his secret life to the psychiatrist. I didn't want the show to go in the conflicted-outlaw-confides-in-his-shrink route. The Sopranos was great but already mined that premise.

I also read Ghost World after seeing the film and I think it's a great graphic novel. I enjoyed the movie more than you despite its wholesale plot changes, which I wasn't aware of. Since I didn't have a preexisting allegiance or any specific expectations, it wasn't a betrayal of the source material to me.
