I met all of them at the taping I saw. Scott was the only one being a bit of a diva, but none of them were exactly what you'd call warm. I'm sure Dave's divorce did embitter him significantly, but I get the impression he's always been a bit dark. In that podcast with Joe Rogan where he talks about his divorce, they

True story.

Dave too, frankly.

It gets used at least once a week around here.

Here's how good it is: I don't care about football. My sister doesn't care about football. My dad is actively allergic to all sports. All of us were utterly riveted by it. I don't know if my father kept watching without me, but I know my sister was going to look for the episodes she'd missed.

That was Mark, and the Chicken Lady is awesome.

Is that like Jed Bartlet's secret plan to fight inflation?

Popeye's is the only fast food place that's ever given me food poisoning.

On the upside, it's the only item up there that looks remotely appealing. This piece is a great illustration of why food photography is a learned skill.

And it survives in part by not paying most of its writers.

*Expensive. Although also expansive. It is, in fact, two things.

I love food writing when it's done well, even though I wouldn't want to eat 90% of what's being written about.

I was about 20 feet away from him in this dorky outfit, and he was still the approximate temperature of the sun's surface:
