I must admit my first reaction was "2016 finally got one right."

Although his Tom Haverford secondary account has been spotted a fair few times since then.

Actually I dunno about needing to know about the industry. Just about every musician I know thinks Spinal Tap is a tragedy, not a comedy.

It's the film that many years later made me wish Tom Waits had been cast as Mad Eye Moody in the Potter films. They had a rule about not casting non-Brits, but I think he would have been brilliant at it.

Isn't that all any of us really need, if we're being honest with ourselves?

Except of course, that's not what happened, and five different investigations said he committed suicide. But why let facts interfere with a good conspiracy theory?

It's actually a peninsula.

If you Google his exact phrase, you get a hit on the Daily Mail online, written by Kessler (who appears to be a former journalist, now a conservative shill). I don't know enough about the special prosecutor process to know whether the two former agents who are his on-the-record sources would have been agents at the

Heh. Good to know, thanks. It appears to be less than $30 per 750 mL at the LC, so should I be in the mood for vodka ever again, I'll keep it in mind.

Hmm. He looks like Beck with a curly brunet wig. I can sort of see the appeal.

"Pulp is gross" - exactly. I can't get on board with freshly-squeezed because I don't want citrus dandruff in my glass, thanks.

Sadly another thing that's not guaranteed.

I wish that card was always an ace, or appeared in all decks. Sadly, it isn't/doesn't.

I disagree on the omnipotence part, for the reasons others have mentioned. But I do agree that talent, in particular, is not enough.

My family went to Kennebunkport a lot when I was a kid. I haven't been in 20 years, but it was lovely then, Bush family compound notwithstanding.

Happy Birthday! If you want to remain a journalist, don't quit. The industry is dying, and the opportunities to do real reporting for pay are becoming scarcer. That means both that there are loads of people who'd love to take your place, and that you're unlikely to be stuck in it for another 23 years.
