God fucking dammit, this is a great song. Say what you will about the Gallaghers being douchetards. That song is great.

Interchangeable Marvel Action Hero #8 strikes again!

I read the book (granted it was over 15years ago) but I agree with you about this episode. Other than the bit with Audrey and the scene at the funeral home, I really disliked the episode. Even the Shirley Manson song was so on the nose: it was obvious the lyrics were written for the show.

No one will ever believe you went to Harvard if you say you went to school in Boston. Anyone who went to Harvard makes it very, very clear that they went to school in Cambridge. Same for MIT grads. Boston =/= Cambridge

The Winter Soldier actually scratched my espionage-action-thriller itch pretty well.

If you read any interviews with the director about his inspiration, you will see that your completely wrong in thinking this is about Olmert, which is why it isn't referenced in the review.

Did you miss the part with John Henry Irons in New Frontier?

I think the work speaks for itself—he obviously had retro tastes but he wasn't shy about working civil rights themes into New Frontier, for instance.

Took the words out of my mouth! I thought modeling a new DCU on the DCAU and New Frontier instead of where it's been going would have been great, but not I guess meant to be.

Hopefully his friends told him, "Be sure to keep your correspondence, Lovecraft! In a hundred years someone may need to cite it line-and-verse to judge you as a human being!" I mean, the very idea that the cities are decaying! If only you could show him the many counter-examples extant today.

"spoiler alert" for a sitcom plot from ten years ago.

You know what would have been a sure-fire disaster? Putting the Muppets in a "behind the scenes at a variety show" sitcom.

Surprised face Woo! Ha ha!
