I watched both "Turn" and "The Assets", and now I know why George III looked so familiar. Although the main thing I remember from "The Assets" was how sexy that chick that played Mrs. Ames was.

This article should be good for 2000 comments.

Exceptional costuming, really. Maybe the one area where this show really stands out.

I remember that last year this show strugged to get three dozen comments in its AV Club reviews. Happy to see it's still being reviewed here.

"It's like all you want is to be entertained week to week"

Financial support, an entry into Hollywood, and a million dollars, that's what she got from sleeping with him.

Apropos of nothing, but I remember that Playboy back in the day seemed to have a weird gift for making their celebrity pictorials not all that sexy. It was doubly odd because the centerfold almost always looked fantastic, but the celebrity pictorial was more often than not a disappointment. So it was with Mimi

Trudy was neither sneaky nor spoiled nor selfish. She was cool, and awesome, and sexy as hell, and Pete Campbell could not be more of an idiot.

4. Collects million-dollar check.

Salon would have tied it to a story about how John Oliver just DESTROYED Fox News.

Roger never raped Jane.

Because we're all supposed to hold Don in contempt, it seems. You're correct, of course. He pretty much sponsored Megan's career, and she got a million dollars as a parting gift.

Erica and Gail haven't been laid by a man in years, and it was implied that they've been getting each other off even though their straight. And with the human race nearly extinct, one might imagine that the social niceties we usually observe don't seem so important.

Well, Phil makes a lot of mistakes. But sure, he should have gotten his new menage right the hell out of town.

Carol is awful, awful, awful. Drawing pictures on Phil's stuff, the soap, the sleep apnea, the horrible food, confiscating his nudie magazines, and let's not forget strongarming him into "marriage" to begin with.

Well that's been established for several episodes—Melissa said she wandered Tuscon for days trying to find Phil, and Todd was about to leave town.

Yep, I said elsewhere in this thread that there is no one to root for on this show. And one could have a show like "Veep" where there's no one to root for and that's OK, but it isn't working here with this setup.

Carol did, because Carol's a weirdo. Phil humored Carol, because he was desperate to get laid. Carol and Melissa actually agreed that each of them would fuck Phil, but then Todd shows up, and Melissa has grown to loathe Phil. The new chick of fertile age is still new. Maybe Todd can fuck Carol and then he'll get

Both are true. Carol is horrifically annoying. Phil's a douchebag.

After Melissa made that comment about how Todd loves Phil, I couldn't help but wonder if there's a reveal coming that Todd is gay after all.
