Unfortunately, none of those shows were very good, in retrospect. But we loved them anyway! They were all we had!

Colonel Wilma Deering was…spectacular.

For a while me and a buddy were planning an EMERGENCY! techno track, using that three-tone klaxon (ehhh-awhhhh-EEEEEEHHH!) as the riff, and a sampled voice repeating "Randolph Mantooth".

I've known more than one gay man who was oddly fascinated by/fixated on breasts. It's apparently a thing.

Nope, not a false memory…he called them, of course, coffin nails:

For some reason I have memories of seeing Bearer smoke cigarettes on television, but I'm not sure if that's from a live appearance, or just an inference from his gravelly voice. Certainly at that time it still would have been kosher to smoke on TV.

Dunno why I'm bothering to post, this will be a complete blizzard of comments and I am older than most of you whippersnappers, but: God bless Heller for including Creature Feature.

RANDOLPH MANTOOTH

'Jackson'?

Wow. Ummm. Yeah.

First season is mostly a waste of time until near the end of it. 2nd and 3rd seasons are very, very good. Then it got real real patchy (and had a stupid conclusion, like all JJ Abrams-related shows).

I got "Chuck Berry Blast" instead.

Don't kill yourself, you never know what kind of obit you're gonna get.

It was the best thing Smith had done in YEARS, and I wanted them to just full-on collaborate on an album.

No, that was Christopher Cross.

Kriss Kross, I think.

Here, instead of working, like always?

It's been a little while since I saw the series (just the once), but when these go up I skim the OP so I can get down to @disqus_wallflower:disqus 's analysis, which is top-notch.

Has Kozelek ever heard, say, Red House Painters?

Just east of MILF Island.
