Thanks guys this is helping. I got immediately that the fire was triggering PTSD, but presumably the Hound has seen other battles with fire (even if just regular non-green exploding fire) since his scarring at age six, so I wasn't sure why he'd just bail completely. But I agree it must have been more of a last straw…

Quick q and not trying to be a douche - why isn't it pretty likely that Joffrey himself told his Kingsguard to off Tyrion (or heck, dude took it on himself)? I mean, they make a point of showing us Joffrey telling the Kingsguard guy (paraphrasing) 'you are the king's proxy here while I am gone.', then he tries to…

Yeah, I was afraid it would come off like that. I think if he'd said 'In *this* respect' or even 'In *some* respects' I wouldn't have even noticed it.
Since this seems to be the thread to snark on the review, not the band, the second sentence annoys me for some reason. Teen Dream was not their debut 'In many respects…', it was only their debut in the *single* made-up respect that just happens to fit the reviewer's thesis.
Not saying I want a Sandman movie (I want a GoT-quality series on HBO, of course, with Whedon as showrunner - ha!), but have you seen this:
Agreed, I didn't mean to sound like I was knocking it, it really is a worthy companion. I resisted reading it for a long time because I love Sandman so much and was (needlessly, as it turned out) worried it might retroactively taint that by being some sort of bad knockoff or cash-in. Maybe that is why it is not…
I'm with @avclub-0ae1dd3954ee840075de1395771b6c9c:disqus - Sandman is Gaiman's legacy. I have liked a lot of his other stuff but nothing else comes close to Sandman's depth or scope.
I didn't think Lucifer ultimately had quite the depth or scope of Sandman - but it was an eminently-worthy extension of the story/universe, and I did really enjoy it. Some of the individual setpieces and artwork were really stunning, but the whole thing just didn't hit me quite as hard as Sandman does.
SPOILERS MAYBE
No, it was made up for 'Return of the Pink Panther'.
I loves me some Spacemen as well.
Hey @E.Buzz Miller - I know the opinion of 1 Yeti doesn't amount to a hill of beans, but try to stick around. From what I have seen, your comments are generally insightful or at
minimum funny, so the discourse here will only get lowered if you bail.
