I had that problem between Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal - now I know better - Gyllenhaal is the one I still see working.

Carpenter's Fog scared me as a kid because it lived up to expectations that Halloween instilled in me - eerie music and a killer that is emotionless but driven, like the fog itself. See what I did there? The appearances of Myers in Halloween juxtapose his menace with the well-ordered suburban beauty surrounding him;…
Me too - I went out of my way to see this, Heavy Traffic and Wizards, because surely Bakshi's best work couldn't be that LOTR mess. But the dragginess of these (and even American Pop) turned me off. I appreciate the talent, but not so much the execution.
I always though it strange that while Pink Floyd brand name helped the band to two (one really awful) post-Waters albums, both of which sound like hyper-produced David Gilmour solo albums. The better of Gilmour's two solo efforts in the 80's has Pete Townshend helping out on lyrics - but I'm not surprised to find it…
That happened because, as a part of the ALIEN franchise, Prometheus didn't suck as bad as 3 & 4 did. The B+ was probably a reflection of predicted fan appreciation for easter eggs. I would have given it a flat D just for the all-around unlikability of the "characters." After that, it was all downhill.
I'm working on an iRiff of Blade Runner - ALIEN made me want to love Blade Runner, but I have more problems with it than those studio notes own up to. It's amazing that things like that (and 2001) are held in such cinematic glory but opened to awful reviews and ARE difficult to sit all the way through.
Rex Reed, is that you?
If "Hot" was a race, they'd all be from the same town in real life.
Hitting "Like" because I love your name.
He was good in Half-Baked. I love how he just rises up out of nowhere when Chapelle says "…And here he comes."
Snoop Snow Leopard!
HBO used to have a show called "Not Necessarily the News" (remember that, 1985'ers?) - their take on Return to Oz was to show the film can, stamped RETURN TO SENDER. "Critics agree!" And they did. This came out to awful reviews. Now I feel compelled, at long last, to see it.
NEW OZ MUCH LIKE OLD OZ, BEATEN UP BY HBO'S OZ.
