Actually, yes. I'm also trying to point out that as much as sophisticated folks like us thought that film sucked, a large part of the movie going public liked it enough to see if more than once. The other thing is, as much as this sucks, the only reason Hollywood movies exist is to make money. It's show business.
I can't take a review seriously that thinks the credited writer of a Simpsons episode is responsible for all the jokes and the story. Are you aware of the concept of a writer's room? Why do I keep coming back to the A/V Club. You guys suck.
