They should just hire CHAPPiE to host the show.

[???SPOILERS!!!] Saul's exit seemed to be the perfect scenario for a spin-off. Moves to another state where he could be surrounded by a whole new cast of off-beat characters. Call it something like, "They Used to Call Me Saul". Clean slate situation. And I've got issues with the whole idea of doing a prequel

At least Walt didn't call for a family meeting…

I've been reading AV Club for a while and for some reason, for the first time ever, I decided to "subscribe" to a show (I won't reveal which one…) a few episodes before the series closed.  I didn't know that when you subscribe to a tv show on AV Club, you get a notification for EVERY SINGLE MENTION OF THE SHOW.

I remember going through a Stephen King phase in adolescence, which is perhaps the best time to go through a Stephen King phase.  I still have a fondness for THE STAND and those friendless summer nights I spent immersed in that world.  The last book of his I read was WIZARDS & GLASS.  Never got around to finishing the

Jim Thompson's THE GRIFTERS is such a great book.  I read it years after I saw the movie.  There's a breathtaking economy to Thompson's work.  What's maddening is that he makes it look so effortless.

Does this mean that Attack of the Show is coming back?  With Olivia Munn and Kevin Pereira?

She's saddled with an offensively conceived character.  [SPOILERS]  She's a kick-ass lesbian merc — who loudly announces that she's a lesbian.  That doesn't stop an attempted rape from another merc.  There's a gratuitous shower sequence — I assume filmed so that they could increase foreign sales — where Sackhoff is

Zoë Washburne is in a show?  What's all this, then?

Now that MTV's stopped showing music videos, it's the perfect time for Pearl Jam to start cranking them out.  They should start making music videos for all their old albums while they're at it.

Everyone misspells Skyler White's name.

I imagine someone like Chevy Chase playing the Jerry Lewis character.  Of course, the only way they'd get a good performance out of him would be if they didn't tell him they were filming a movie and actually kidnapped the fucking guy.

Criminally underrated.  It's pretty dark but fascinating.  And really surprisingly funny in a way that's grown over the years.  Jerry Lewis delivers a frightening performance.

Love how they actually followed the cold open with a continuation of the HANK v HEISENBERG garage stand-off because everyone was making jokes this week about how tense it was at the end but that Walt would have to disrupt that tension by getting out of that garage somehow.  And while it was appropriately awkward, I

She's so much more interesting now that she knows everything.  (Like a friend who's FINALLY caught up with all the episodes of Breaking Bad so you can actually have a conversation with her about it!)  Love that shot of her and Hank in the car: they're both on the same page, and they're both out for Walt's blood.  Line

I like how Skyler and Jesse have now both gone through their own "fugue states".

When I saw the flash-forward in the season opener, I immediately thought that Walt Jr. was already dead.  In that time frame with that ruined house, with Heisenberg in Nothing-Left-to-Lose Mode: I'm thinking Walt Jr. can't be alive.  If Heisenberg has got nothing left to lose… I'm not very optimistic about his

He's hanging out with Louis, trying to get someone to buy them a six-pack outside a liquor store.

That's what was so charming about it.  That he tossed it off like that.  The whole "Belize" inference is such a touchy topic (Saul suggesting that he knows Walt killed Mike) and Walt just throws it back at him like that.  Perfect.  Laughed out loud.

Great scene.  Arguably a little too convenient that they left her all alone in the meth lab to meet their deaths — even the cooks walked out! — but I'm willing to let it slide.  This was the first time you really get to see her in Power mode.  We've seen her meek and anxious and making breathless arguments for her
