That kid is just a few more s'mores away from accepting his dad.

What did Claire ever see in Joe?  Because it seems like he's always been an idiotic psychopath.  A tween Cliffnotes version of Hannibal Lecter.  He writes like an adolescent blogs.  The actress who plays Claire, Natalie Zea, left the brilliant show JUSTIFIED to be in this awful thing; and I can't help but think about

Comedy in translation is fucking dreadful.  They got by because it was the first sketch and the audience energy was up, but it was dreadful.  Having the actor speak "foreign gibberish" as a "translator" delivers the jokes is fucking appalling.

I am curious how they'd re-introduce Jimmy.  Because it would mean him returning after yet another abrupt disappearance.  I am gradually coming around to the possibility that he wasn't actually killed.  He's been such a major character, if he were actually executed I feel that the showrunners would depict it more

This is where it gets tricky because I initially thought she was faking it.  But then I was second-guessing that assumption wondering if it's just the limited range of the actress that didn't make me fully buy that the old Karen was gone.

I think that's a good argument for him NOT being dead.  Because they could have shown that in the last episode.  It might be funny (for the Jimmy-haters), but the show couldn't have a flashback like that, the way it's been set up.  I could be wrong but I don't think the show uses the flashback device in general; if it

I like how they pulled a REGARDING HENRY on Karen.  Near-death experience creates brain damage which turns an asshole character into a sweet-natured one.

Exactly.  They broke the facade to introduce the boom guy several times, but we're to assume that they have zero interaction with the camera guys?  Who's been interviewing them for all the interviews?  Makes zero sense.

Brian the Boom-Mic-Guy is like Poochie.  A complete cheat of a character.  And why is Pam holding the boom-mic-guy accountable for how the documentary is produced?  Why isn't she trying to address the producer or director?  You'd think they'd be in charge of how things are shot and how it's edited.  Instead, they

The UK version was more consistent with the documentary format throughout.  And their Christmas Special was the episode where the documentarians revisited the office AFTER the programme had already aired, so there was a more organic response from the characters to having their lives put on display.

I definitely had Ebert's book of reviews and used it to discover all these amazing movies at the video store.

[SPOILER] My recording cut off right after the gunshot + burger spit-take.  Just watched the ending online and I guess I missed a few more seconds of dramatic music before a cut to black. [END SPOILER]  I'm surprised this was such a widespread issue that a press release had to be drafted.  (I'm on DirecTV, btw.)

With these serialized dramas, I love talking to a good friend about the latest episode.  "Did you watch [——] last night?!  What did you think??"  It's a big part of the experience for me.  Sharing it, unpacking it, debating over what works and what doesn't.  In theory, a show like TALKING DEAD would serve this end.

Ronald Moore used to record commentary that you could play in sync with the previous episode, which I really enjoyed.

Yep, The Breaking Bad Insider Podcast.  It's interesting sometimes.  But it kind of turns into a these people just slapping each other on the back for jobs well done.

AMC are contemplating a "Talking Bad" show for the final stretch…

Mixed feelings about this one.  Mike hooking up with Fiona has been bluntly telegraphed for a while and I was disappointed when it started to happen because I actually like the idea of Jimmy and Fiona.  But the fact that Fiona snapped to her senses and Mike pointed out that she was doing it to get "revenge" made it

'The biggest problem with “Welcome To The Tombs” (and the flaw that makes it a mostly good episode, rather than a terrific one) is that even with Andrea and Milton’s death, it doesn’t really feel like a finale. While the Governor is temporarily stripped of his power, he’s still alive, out of his mind, and presumably

I think they gave up on story.

Now you listen to me, Aaron. You don't blow your money on those comic books, you understand? They don't do you a damned bit of good, and the nude mags, you're gonna be inheriting mine when you're 16 anyway. Now look, the junk food and the candy just rots your teeth, gives you bad breath, and the girls run like hell.
