Bummer - I had hoped josh might be around more permanently.

Weighing in as one of the ladyfolks here, when I watched the episode last night I found the treatment of the man with brain damage to be far more tasteless than June drugging Chloe so she'd continue to have sex with Trey.  For me, Apt 23 has set itself up as a world where people do bad things to each other.  The fact

And there was no mention of the Mark crushing on June subplot which could have been worked in.  And don't we already know who James' dance partner ended up being?  Last we heard of the DTWS subplot, he was trying to get a bigger dressing room than Dean Cain.

AND Carla didn't know how to prepare the squab in the first place.  I think if she had taken out the breast bones, maybe then she could have blamed the poor preparation on the people cooking the meal for her.  But she messed up the prep and then she didn't taste her food.  A good sauce can't save that.

I agree - they had the menu, so they had some sense as to what the flavor profiles were supposed to be, but otherwise I think they had a freedom to interpret that as they would.  If they were given recipes, then it would be a "recreate this" challenge.

I think it was fair for Chrissy to go home.  A salad is a simple dish and she used the wrong lettuce and overdressed it.  At least CJ had a more difficult cooking task.  When you take the "easiest" stuff, it has to be perfect.

I'm rooting hard for Kuniko.  If she had been more selfish, there is no way she would have went home for those potatoes.  She spent too much time helping out and not enough time perfecting her own dish.  If anyone can kick ass through this entire thing, it's her (I hope).

I thought that when I watched it too.  I thought Tom was hardest on his set of contestants.

Jamie, who came back to Top Chef All Stars and made it further than she should have without cooking a thing.

If you live in an expensive city, it's not uncommon to find roommates on Craigslist. I lived in New York for 10 years and I roomed with strangers who became friends. It's not so uncommon. It starts for an economic reason, but ends in a different place.
