They're not booing this, they're saying "Scott Boo-urns"

On paper, it sounds like a good idea, a show executive produced by Martin Scorsese, run by the guy who ran Boardwalk Empire, and definitely covering what should be a really interesting topic. But it doesn't seem to be doing anything with all that. It's turned into just another show about a miserable rich asshole,

Director On The Verge of a Financial Breakdown

The Rifftrax guys were on @Midnight recently, and Hardwick did point out it was the first time any of them had been on Comedy Central since MST3K was cancelled. But it does seem like Comedy Central does this weird thing of trying to erase MST3K from its history.

I think Miles uses the word "motherfucker" as a conjunction.

The Life and Times of Tim helped me work through my trauma over getting raped by a bum.

You know, I've always kind of wondered if the decision to put "The Knick" on Cinemax has really kept it from getting the attention it deserves. Cinemax is where you go for softcore porno (oh, I'm sorry, I mean, "erotic drama"), not searing existential drama about medicine at the turn of the 20th century.

It'll air after the Deadwood movie.

I guess I should make another run at that show, but after liking the 2 hour pilot, I bailed on the 2nd episode about 30 minutes in.

There's a pretty good documentary called "Chaos on the Bridge" (directed by William Shatner!) about what a total clusterfuck those first couple of seasons of TNG were. The big problem was that Roddenberry had totally lost it, but demanded to be in charge.

I dunno, I think Season 4 broadened out to the community as a whole enough to make up for that, and it has some very interesting stories to tell. I will agree Marlo's crew isn't as compelling as the Barksdale crew, though.

i actually found last week, with him demanding the girls smile as they start weeping from fear, and the implication (there's that word again! ) that they'd end up on the "weird website" if they don't comply, a lot more disturbing. I think that had the added dimension that Dee was sitting there impassively through it.

You know, that whole thing shows that once you've established a character, you can really get away with things that you wouldn't otherwise. If any other show attempted that joke about a woman coercing men into sex with false rape allegations, they'd be in a ton of trouble. But, here, it's just like "Oh, that Dee."

I'd probably pay for the Rifftrax Live of this.

You know, I went back and listened to Let's Dance, along with a lot of other Bowie stuff in the wake of his death, and I was struck by what a weird record it is. The whole "sell out" thing doesn't ring true, because Bowie definitely wasn't making pop. It caught something in the air at that time and became huge, but I

The reviews of this movie are making me wonder why QT Is so hell-bent on filming and projecting this movie in 70mm, if it all mostly takes place in one room.

Well, it was the only one who'd hang out with him.

The scene in which Gus goes to visit his neighbor and he tells Gus a story was pretty much a straight homage to the "Goy's Teeth" sequence in "A Serious Man."

Stormfront? Probably not

I heard that it's called "Star Wars" because it's actually their soundtrack to the new Star Wars movie coming out this year.
