Yeah, I thought it was pretty clear that the "nearly perfect box of mountains" surrounding the unimaginably powerful evil wizard's home has little to do with plate tectonics.

My first thought when I saw that: the whole world knows what the president's O Face looks like. God help us all.
We should be so lucky.
I've been playing with the idea of switching to a new avatar, and I'm a little sad to see that weeping gorilla is taken. Well done.
I agree. There were a few shaky parts, but no more so than the other versions, I thought.
I'm not really a big fan of Sorkin, but his sort of dialogue seems like something Cate Blanchett should be ridiculously good at.
Actually, yeah, that sounds about right.
I agree, though at this point I'd rather see "Daughters of the Dragon" than "Power Man and Iron Fist"
Astro City - Nearness of You
Planetary - The "Magic and Loss" issue
Probably something in Sandman that I can't remember offhand
Slightly random thought, but the main thing I know about her was the story (in the crossover with Waid's Daredevil, I think) where Spidey calls her Punishella. I always loved that.
I second all of that about Superman 28.
Superman #28 - I picked it up after seeing it highly recommended*. I can't say it moved me that much, but I still loved it. It's good to see a story (especially a Superman story) that is so unashamedly optimistic and that, in this day and age, openly embraces the best of America.
Yeah, the part of Daredevil that bothers me most is that the Waid/Samnee run, for all practical purposes, never happened now, and that includes all character development and growth that Matt experienced in the last several years (which was a lot).
Theon is sort of like the Gollum of Westeros, come to think of it.
Ha, I completely forgot that I said that! I did think that part was funny, and I'll be damn if I can come up with another explanation of how that guy gets around so much.
I just noticed yesterday that her run is in an Epic Collection now. I might have to finally try that one.
Yeah, the shorts were kind of ridiculous, and the name Christmas Jones even more so.
I don't get it either. Is it because he seemed like a reasonable person, and he asked the most intelligent question of that whole nightmare of a debate? Because that making him newsworthy would just be too depressing to contemplate.
Sally Forth Thread
(There's something I never thought I'd type, but…) I happened to see this in the newspaper the other day, and couldn't resist sharing:
Absolutely. While we're all here talking comics, I just thought I'd double check with the collective wisdom that I wasn't missing something.
