Maybe, I think Egoyan needs to first Transcend this rut he's stuck in. I'd really like to see him tackle Science Fiction. I think his view of the world would give him a really interesting take on the future. Can we raise money for a remake of 'Stalker' perhaps?

Egoyan never compared to Cronenberg (IMO). They make different stuff to be sure but Cronenberg transcends the archetype of "English Canadian Film-maker".
