it just leaked, actually

Lost

didn't the cartel already know about Walt via Tuco and Tio?  They sent the cousins to kill him.

I saw them for the first time a couple days ago at an in-store thing at Sound Garden in Baltimore.  Musically it was amazing, but his in-between-song banter was almost too jokey to the point where it clashed in a distracting way with the emotional intensity of the songs.

to me it seemed like chronological highlight clips from a real good season of a television show.  As a movie it was o.k.  I just didn't feel as invested in the characters as I needed to be.

you're mistaking things that haven't been explained yet with plot holes

what "holes"?

you just blew my mind

If Gus was trying to do the same thing that kid would be dead, and Gus would not care.  That's why he's a bigger monster.

This is a pretty good point.  For Walt's plan to work, Jesse would have to immediately believe that it was Walt who did the poisoning, but not strongly enough so that he couldn't be convinced that it was actually Gus.

I see, so it was the writers of the show we all love who were 'stupid' and wrong and you are the smart and right one.  all this time I thought you were just some dick on the internet with his head up his ass.  thanks for clearing that up.

well to be fair Walt was pretty genuinely relieved that the kid was o.k.  A "monster" wouldn't care at all.  BUT the fact that Walt was so relieved also shows that it wasn't a foregone conclusion that the kid would definitely survive.  What Walt did was seriously fucked up.  He is now "bad".

he's a wordsmith

madson, very well said.  this is one of the most convincing lines of reasoning to me as well.  It seems like too much of a hail mary for Gus to throw, especially since his phone call with Jesse earlier in the episode reinforces Jesse's steadfast loyalty to Walt.

Right out of the gate, that first paragraph is gold.  I can say with utter certainty that I would not be watching this show if it weren't for these reviews.

the joke is that Anya is a 'beauty queen' as she's been in beauty pageants, and Laura is a 'beauty QUEEN' as in transvestite.  Thought it was obvious.

eh, my gaydar doesn't really go off for Gus.

if I am a 15 year old boy then my wife better hope no one finds out about the things she does to me
