Some of it is that the video-game-style structure seems to be showing up in movies because the filmmakers are lazy as shit.

I can't say I'm surprised
But it's a pity, the visuals are great and the girls-kicking-ass thing looked fun.

This is going to be a hard one for me to avoid, 'cause my kid loves penguins. I have been gradually introducing her to the concept of 'movie reviews,' though.

You can't watch the preview anyway, Fox already pulled it.

Happy birthday, Lex. I'm with Blurry— part of me thinks it'd be awesome, but I don't want to outlive everyone I know. And, since I'm human and not a Highlander, I'm not sure what living forever would do to my limited memory banks.

I'm kind of pulling for the Twilight guy. Male nerds won't care about whitewashing or low quality, but they'll boycott a sparklepire.

I don't think I've ever seen the WWII scene before!

Oh, yeah, that's awful.

Actually, it is a bit plausible (and certainly as plausible as anything else in this movie) that someone who lived hundreds of years— anywhere— would've ended up with a pretty weird accent, as language changed. Add traveling around to the mix, and it's all the more plausible. (Like Christian Bale's rant!)

Yeah, it took me a long time to realize what a beauty— and what a great actress— she was. Watching her face off against Katherine Hepburn in Suddenly, Last Summer was amazing.

He does learn that with great power comes great responsibility. It's not all wisecracks.

The home of MegaShark vs. Giant Octopus should definitely air this. For America.

Yeah, I thought it was okay, but I hadn't gotten to the comic before I watched the movie. This has helped me tolerate many terrible comic adaptations.

It's visually stunning and has some interesting ideas, but it might not be a good first anime because— well, see the thread above for discussions of the plot, which is not super-coherent.

Most anime characters are young and have bigger eyes as a sign of their youth. If you google around you can find a ton on it. A lot of it is that the godfather of anime was heavily influenced by Western animation, especially Disney, and the asthetic grew from there. (If you watch anime with 'Western' characters, you

There were a few people who complained about Dragonball, but it was more 'this is of a piece with the rest of the shittiness' rather than the outrage of "Airbender" and the like.

HELL TO THE YES
So glad to hear this news. The Venture Brothers is one of the best shows on TV.
