Good luck with that MF DOOM show - if he actually shows, and it is him and not just a stand-in (I heard Murs was the guy in the mask here in Chicago a time or two), be prepared for awesomeness.

Damn, completely forgot my all-time fave hip hop-esque live show: Ozomatli. They played for about three hours and ended the show in audience with the full horn section playing a funkdafied of the Sesame Street theme with everyone singing along.
And one more 'oh' - Das Racist is way the fuck over-rated. I would bet dollars to donuts that they are a non-entity within 24 months. This is the first new hip-hop group I've heard a song from in a long while that instantly attained "download this shit now" status.
Have to agree with Fixda and Trackball - Blackalicious was ridiculous, but it's been years since I've seen them.
Completely agree with partdavid - there are multiple high profile companies and consulting firms that actively seek out liberal arts majors who have an iota of business acumen.
Scream, Halloween 1997
The best shared experience I've ever had is most definitely going to a screening of Scream on Halloween weekend the year after it came out (1997).
Chocolate City = Washington D.C., not New Orleans.
