Always helpful to bring up that "preferable" does not equal "good." There's regular every day villainy and cartoonish super villainy.

I think the reason is that because the Rom-Sitcom is defined by a "Romance Plot Arc" which is roughly the same as a Shakespeare comedy (Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night) but stretched out over 5-9 seasons. Every "Romance Plot Arc" terminates with the act of getting together, whether its a wedding or the modern…
I remember feeling terribly melancholy the day that the original Q101 signed off. Sure it hadn't been what it was at it height in a long time but its final demise in 2011 was a time to mourn.
It's a little nicer now (every year they seem to add something) but the highlight to Sox Park is the food. Wrigley's improved but Sox Park still has the best ballpark food in town. Polish Sausages with grilled onions, Italian sausages with peppers, Cuban sandwiches, carving station, and a massive local beer selection.
Love Brown's but I give a slight edge to Harold's since it has a touch of spice.
"New Yorkers treat pizza and hot dogs as portable food to be eaten on the street"
There's usually a list of great hot dog stands. Hot Dougs is gone (replaced by an awesome empanada/taco/coffee spot) but Weiner Circle is still around. Also look for a list of haunts that have been around forever: Berghoff, Twin Anchors, Italian Village, La Creperie, etc. (RIP Parthenon).
A couple of missed ones:
Admittedly the Museum Campus area is pretty much a food wasteland. A lot of visitors to the city make the mistake of staying in loop where food options are either limited or over priced rather than venture into the more walkable neighborhoods where there are better options.
John Hughes didn't love Chicago. He loved the 'burbs.
Lounge Ax was before my time (Didn't start going to bars until after it closed) but I did go to Wise Fools, Double Door, and Lilly's quite a bit.
This movie has so many details of life in turn of the millennium Chicago that I can smell it.
Its was a late 90s movie that was a throwback to the early 90s. It's like an ouroboros.
Are we talking Young Justice?
I ok with guns on the Batmobile (they've been there since Batman 1989) but I'll never get over how impossibly recklessly they're deployed.
The thing I've noticed about carbonara is that, if you time it up right, you can have the whole meal done in 30 minutes. As far as delicacies go, it requires next to no pre-prep. If you have guests, it can and must be made with them present. Carbonara is never as good as it is immediately after the egg is stirred in…
"I was walking by Charisma Carpenter, and, I don’t know why, but she spanked me. And then I turned to her, and I said, “Do it again.” And then her eyes lit up, and she spanks me again."
Done. I'll have my attorney draw up the contract.
I like it when its infused with nitrogen. That stuff is rocket fuel.
So long as the entire soundtrack of the show consists of nothing but pre-1995 hip-hop.
