Thoughts for season 3: I need to know more about Floki's past. Gustaf Skarsgard plays him as a man who underneath is an earnest and good man but who believes himself to be a monster. In his interactions with Helga this season he starts with genuine joy and love both for his bride and his new baby but then somehow

I find her funny.

I'd certainly tune in for Aisha. You'd see at least a 50% increase in gamer references in the 12:30 time slot and I'm all for that.

The data would suggest it isn't number three.

I really enjoy her stuff. Clear, concise, logical, its great brain exercise.

Thinking is indeed good.

I like the use of the Bechdel test as a measuring stick for its specific goal, which is to increase the independent presence of women on screen. Since a particular film could be judged to be entertaining or awful based on a wide variety of categories, the Bechdel test is only one part.

Still pissing on the grave of How I Met Your Mother. I like that.

The problem is they said too much and too little. If you're going to go easy on the fans then just give them the happy ending they want. If you're going to put them through the wringer then have the guts to go all the way. If you want it to be heartbreaking, then do not spare the audience. Just a lack of fortitude.

I'm along with most of the comments on this episode. A great Ragnar/Aethelstan core with a lot of underwhelming plot points orbiting.

We've already had one infuriating death in series finale season this year, lets try not to make it two.

"the pervasive stench of racism that had been wiped away from a facile perspective but still seeped out of the floorboards."

Nicely worded. Just because people had to (and did) navigate that kind of grade-A level of bullshit didn't make it any less bullshit, they were just doing what they had to.

I love this show. I truly hope they get to do the full 7 season run!

Its a shame since I honestly believe Kat Dennings to be legitimately funny. She's biggest scene stealer in the Thor movies not named Loki. Hopefully this can just be an embarrassing stepping stone to something better.

Is that in line with the "Refrigerator" trope? A death, especially one recorded off camera and matter-of-factly, which serves only to advance the story of the male character.

You can probably add a few more characters to that list. If the qualification is "A female character whose illness and death inspires the male lead" we could add Fantine from Les Miserables. Its also conceivable that Tracy in the HIMYM finale could also qualify.

Just one more question: Will his coat be brown?

There's one too many for a Rush tribute band. Therefore one must perish. Neil Peart stands alone.

The only way the season can end is with the new president of San Marcos, Mr. Ford.
