I agree. Stan's connection is huge. Not only in her connection to Stan but also that Vlad's death was completely meaningless. He had no connection to what happened to Stan's partner, he wasn't supposed to be grabbed, he was just a guy.

Brittany Murphy still possible, the human body is basically a potato clock.

Nope…Not funny…Been done…Too Riddler…

If only Batman could actually slap ABC Family.

Annie Edison came down on Pete like an anvil. She made it clear that he had only continued to exist because of her whim and now she was going to crush him like the insect she and the audience knew him to be. So formidable!

Well I definitely don't want a ghost or apparition. A flashback is more palatable. Its '81, Phil and Liz have been in the US since '62 and Liz has know Gregory going back to at least '68. That's almost 20 years of missions, many of which may have involved Gregory. Makes for good material.

Umm, Batman's family is dead.

Any chance that Spartacus has the exact same ending as Life of Brian?

Its mostly MSG.

Boosh!

That sequence was so perfect that I almost wish it was saved for later in the run of the series. The show is so young, it's like being served an amazing dessert as your appetizer. You don't complain and you certainly enjoy every succulent moment but maybe you wanted a little entree first.

Having just re-read the book, I'm disappointed that they seem to be stepping up the violence and confrontation. Part of what made the aspects of the story that are inherently violent (most of which involve Myrtle Wilson) get their punch from the staid, polite world that covers them up.

BOOSH!

I forgot about that line, thank you. I still think Phil's emotions are affecting his work. He could have bought a necklace for Martha, instead he asked Elizabeth for something of her own. As much as it is a job (HA HA Job!) for Philip something about the way he's carrying on about it unsettles me.

Slight step back for the show this week after a string of increasingly outstanding episodes. Not that the premise or anything else didn't work just that it feels a little rushed to be going back after last week. I thought they would drag out Phil's tryst with Irina for several weeks.

Actually that was central my idea. I liked the idea not only is Communism dead, but now the government that is giving them orders is no longer one of the characters real homeland. I figured that Ukraine or Belarus would be plausible as those parts of USSR had been incorporated into the Russian Empire centuries ago. As

At this point after nine seasons of looking for one woman nothing short of Alison Brie will suffice. Maybe Lizzy Caplan.

Phil didn't just fold it, he ripped it in half. Making a much stronger statement that he was leaving Mischa behind.

What I'm loving about this show is the superb use of historical context seamlessly blended into the plot. The only thing lacking in that respect last night was a fortuitous reference to John Paul II on the day of a new papal election. The way Elizabeth is watching the news about Poland with anxiety followed by Philip
