Nah, that's worse than one shithead for another. If he sticks a different attorney general in, one that hasn't been recused from the Russian investigation, that guy can fire Mueller.

Well, there's all the Captain America films, Iron Man 3, the Avengers movies, the Guardians movies, Spider-Man Homecoming…Ragnarok and Black Panther look very much outside of that formula.

I'd say that applies to Iron Man, Dr Strange, and Star-Lord, but it doesn't describe Ant-Man, Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man…

People always talk about the "Marvel formula" but…I don't see it that much. Okay, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Thor, and Iron Man are kind of the "formulaic" ones but outside of that…I mean, most of them have pretty distinct styles. Thor 2 and Iron Man 2 don't, but those ones just suck.

Well, it is what dreams are made of.

Wait, Wet Hot American Summer AND Voltron come out on the same day?

But that one didn't come out of a ring and shoot over their body so much as it came out of the ring and the guy changed really, really fast.

Well, yeah. But does anyone under the age of 60 say it?

Is it remotely necessary? No

Guys, what if this show goes into a drastically different direction: the Confederates successfully secede…but their weakened military gets taken out by a massive slave revolt and now there is a black utopia in what used to be the southern half of the United States.

I don't think the two are racist, but I don't really know.

Waid's wasn't that long ago and it was solid, but I'd say unexceptional. And I don't think he really GOT Doom, which is important.

Oh you missed out. Did you make it to Jermaine Clement's performance as Oliver Bird? Because that was insanely perfect.

See, I didn't start watching the series until it was about 3/4 of the way through, so I missed all the early discussion…and all the reviews on this site seemed to think that she was never real and that idea confused me.

Yeah. I feel like the Sidney thing could be explained by her basically sharing a brain with Shadow King for a little bit…but I completely agree. Lenny was a very different character after she died.

I will say that "Victoria Von Doom" sounds dope as hell

I don't know…he's done a damn good job so far of taking ideas that should never fucking work at all and making them amazing. "Hey, you know that minor X-Men villain with the mohawk? Let's make a show about him where the first episode has a Bollywood dance scene!"

In fairness, most of the FF comics of the last 20 years have sucked too. Only modern writer that seems to really get them is Hickman. They're a tricky concept.

So…was Lenny a real person? I stand by the idea she was and Farouk capitalized on her image to fuck with David. He used David's guilt over her death to mess with her.

I just think it sounds super old fashioned, honestly.
