For me it's mostly foods. I've never had Ramen. Never will. Didn't eat yogurt until I was in my 30's and only recently will try asian food that goes beyond chicken fried rice. Why?

Agreed. Style is a solid pop tune. Blank Space was a novel "that's Taylor Swift?!?!" moment, but Style stands on its own.

I don't feel like Spock wanted to be on the "inside" though. He struggled with his emotions, inherited from his mother, and with the expectations of his father. But Spock doesn't crave inclusion (Data) so much as express curiosity. His membership in the Enterprise "family" is more of an outcome than a goal.
